In 2001, the famous Japan Yoshizawa Scissors Manufacturer established Tsubame Scissors in Tsubame, Japan. Engineers in Tsubame Scissors strived to produce the best quality hair styling scissors. Their passion was to make scissors that are razor-sharp and durable yet easy-to-handle at the same time. Over the years we have continued to focus on improving our craftsmanship to produce the highest quality scissors in the industry. In 2006, Tsubame Scissors has established its oversea manufacturer in China for its affordable scissors line. All our manufacturers use Japanese engineering, materials and accessories to ensure the quality and precision. In 2009, Tsubame Scissors has taken further steps to launch the product lines to the international markets in the U.S., England, Holland, France, and China.
We use the highest class of steel that appropriately contains the right amount of cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium. Each scissors has its own unique function and our goal is to create the best scissors for each purpose by choosing proper steel to begin with. For example, the Dragon and Phoenix Series use Japan VG15 Steel that contains 40% or more cobalt which gives stylists a softer and sticky cutting experience. Our mainstream 3-Stars Scissors line uses Japan VG-1 Steel which can deliver extremely strong durability with its high level of rockwell hardness. The 2-Stars Scissors line uses Japan 440C Steel that delivers a decent performance at an affordable price.
Our scissors are hardened by the special heat-treatment process called “sub-zero process”. Heated by the high temperature of 1000C+ degrees, then cooled quickly in the -100C degrees. Repeating this process makes the scissors extremely strong and hardly distort.
Tsubame Scissors has successfully launched the line to multiple international markets since 2009. Started in 2010, Tsubame Scissors has exhibited in multiple beauty trade shows in the U.S..
